The Wpay payment and fraud systems are integrated into the existing POS systems allowing for a seamless experience for Woolworths customers. This innovative solution proved to have different use cases for customers just wanting to get in and out of the store quickly. For some customers, this was a great budgeting tool – being able to actively track the value of their cart in-store before checking out, for others, it was a way to include other family members as part of the shopping experience, while also providing the added benefit of convenience and contactless driving their reason to adopt. Scan & Go was well received by Woolworth’s team members who were able to assist in offering another shopping experience. The number of shoppers using the app continues to grow with average purchase amounts increasing and time spent in-store reducing.
